Does anyone else find it quiet therapeutic to listen to the rain against the window whilst in bed? I struggle to sleep at the best of times but for once am happy it's bucketing down!

I wish it was raining here Wotsit. The good lady finds it therapeutic too, she's got her Grandads funeral tomorrow and can't sleep. :-(
It's stopped where I am, for the time being, but I also like the sound of it against the windows. Wasn't too good when it thundered yesterday though.
Awww....sorry to hear that dabees. Wet weather always makes those occasions seem even worse. x
Thanks Ice, but if it was raining it might lull her to sleep. She just can't seem to shut her mind off. Understandable i guess.
It is, particularly when you've been close to someone, or if things were left unsaid. Strangely though, I've been brought up surrounded by deaths of people close to us, and each funeral tends to get more "pleasant" - which sounds unforgivable of me, but it's true. We try to think good things about the deceased, and to forget the long faces.

dabbees - send her up here - it's lashing it down! Sorry to hear about the funeral. The last funeral I went to was my husband's, who was killed in a tragic accident and we held a private service for family and close friends and then a sort of celebration of life service for everyone else, he was only 33, so we wanted everyone to remember how he was during his 33 years with us.

P.S. am sending you some raindrops to wherever you are.......
I'm very, very sorry to hear of your loss Wotsits. Must've been a terrible shock, and I hope things go well for you in the future.

Thanks Ice.Maiden - gonna get to bed now and hope this torrential rain sends me to sleep!
There you go - I'll wish it upon you. Night - x
Thanks Wotsit, i'm sure the passing of an 80 year old man who'd lived his life to the full pails into insignificance compared to your loss.

You must be a wonderfully strong human, and i admire you immensely.

PS. Thanks for the rain, it's just started. :-)
I'm not even bothering to look outside. Can't hear anything though. Suppose I'll find out how wet it is when I get up...in...about 2 hours from now!
Yes I do. I was layed listening to it last night and I was also glad as it was nice to hear it whilst nice and warm in bed
