fancy dress ideas please
8 Answers
Hi, I've been invited to a fancy dress party where the theme is "people from music, stage or screen over the last 50 years" but I can't think of any ideas!! My husband is equally stuck. We don't want to spend huge amounts of money on outfits that we'll never wear again. If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I found some great fashion how-to videos, maybe they'll help you and you'll find something here: http://www.sutree.com/videos/Fashion/181

The 70's was so cheesy, that it's hilarious to dress as any music person from that decade. Wigs and oxfam or eBay clothes should do it.
Or ... from the 80's ...
... the last time I went to a fancy dress party I went as the character from Risky Business. I went in a shirt, socks, and pants, and carried a candlestick. So it was free!!!

If you have some black leggings and heels and your husband has black jeans and a leather jacket, how about going as Danny and Sandie from Grease? The pink lady jackets are really cheap in fancy dress shops and on ebay. All you need to do is do your hair in the style of your chosen pink lady (if not sandie) and your husband needs to get the gel out!!
