you were given the opportunity? I've been asked if i want to go to Texas to work for a year as part of a work exchange. My son is up for it, i'm not sure. I'm going to go to my bed and sleep on it as i'm not long home. I'd appreciate any advice and replies. Could/would you do it?

Id go for it Lisa. Its an excellent opportunity. Seeing as your son is happy then why no? What you got to lose?

No I'm too much a family person. They'd probably leave me though :-)

Oh great I have a follower. Woop Woop
Me, I would be on the next plane out!!

Go for it, you can always come back if it don't work out!!!
My mate went to Texas to live. She transfered from her job here to one over there to follow her boyfriend. She broke up with him tho and married someone else. She lives in Houston. Loves every minute of it. If you can leave family and friends I'd go for it, its only a year out of your life....go for it, what's stopping you?
Go for it!!...it's a once in a lifetime opportunity and you won't get a second chance. Think of it as something to tell your grandkids about!
Lisa, go for it!! :) I wish you lots of luck.

If I was given the opportunity, I would go as long as my dog could come.
