My daughter is 22 and has been driving on a full licence since she woz 17. She has a colt czt with low profile tyres. Since Christmas she has had to replace three of these - the only original one is offside rear- and also a new alloy wheel. She claimed the cost of one from Kent CC (78} but it was so much hassle and they deducted 28 for wear and tear -she didn't bother to claim for the others. These tyres were damaged at different locations one in Dartford town center.
saxonlynn ... yes, with the amount of money that we stump up in road tax, speed camera fines, etc, they could at least make the road surfaces useable so they don't knacker our tyres.
I have seen all sorts of repairs locally, from a quarter mile contraflow with half a dozen road planers and tarmac layers to a lad with a pick up truck, a bucket of warm tarmac and a pair of gloves!! Some of the latter's repairs have made the potholes into lumps! LOL
