I cant find buttermilk in my hometown malaysia, anyone know how to do it, or can i used something else will the recipe failed... pls help

First-this really belongs in Food & Drink.....But I can give you an answer: I have several American reipes that call for buttermilk-they suggest using soured milk as a substitute. Just add a squeeze of lemon juice to each cup / 1/2 pint of milk.
