lesbian support groups

im from londonderry in northern ireland and i cant seem to find any lesbian support groups, mostly its all for gay men. Does anyone know of any or know of a way i could create one because i could do with some friends who understand my sexuality.

lol not all heterosexuals are oafs you know. I expect a fair proportion of them understand different sexualities. If you are looking fr friendship, why not join a group or a hobby or something that isnt specifically "gay" i'm sure you will find there are other gay people in groups etc too, if speaking with lesbians is overriddingly important to you

actually bedknobs I can understand where nicki is coming from, slightly different but as a competative female golfer 99% of the time I am surrounded by male competative golfers and sometimes It would be great to talk to women similar to myself.

the men are okay to talk to but their game and my game are on different levels and sometimes I feel like the only one which can be quite a lonely experience in the golf world.

bedknobs...its not that i think hetrosexuals are oafs!!! i have loads of straight friends.... being a lesbian and not knowing any other lesbians im finding it hard to get a relationship!!!!! my straight friends dont exactly want to talk about other girls the way i do or go searching for any!!lol just want to get in to the gay scene, i have nothing against anyone!

and only a few close friends know that im a lesbian. I wish there were people down here to talk to as its not easy to talk to my friends about girls either. Hang in there.
