HELP!!! I am struggling with this damn run I need to be able to do in order to get into the army. I just don't seem to be able to make any progress with my speed/how I'm feeling. Today I went on the treadmill {KM's per hour} and set it to 11 - this was pretty FAST but it wouldn't have been fast enough had I of kept going! I have to stop after so long...I'm panicing!! I have to do an 800 metre warm up before I start the mile and a half....what the hell can I do!! Thanks

12 km per hour for 13 minutes will be 1.6 miles - a little further than you need to go

God, it's so fast...I thought the run would be the easy part : (
How long have you got until your fitness test? In my opinion there's no point setting the treadmill to 12km/h then having to stop running after .25 miles. Set it to 8km/h and run 1.5 miles - do this for a couple of days then up it to 9km/h. Build it up that way.

I've been building it up for ages, it just seems to not be improving! I usually have a jog speed {say 9} and a run speed {11} and toggle between the 2. The army are basically waiting for me to get fit now before I can go for selection.
