job swap for a year with someone in Texas (america). The thing is i've just bought a car and i don't know what to do with it! Is it possible the finance company may let me out my contract in these circumstances or should i try and sell it? More to the point am i allowed to sell it? HELP!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure about the contract part but I think you can sell it. If you don't sell it for the amount you got it for off the finance company you'll probably have to make up the difference. Why don't you phone them and see if they will take it back and cancel your contract?
you may find no-one will buy it if there is o/s finance on it though, you need to speak to your finance company you can get out of it but it won't be cheap
just a thought you said job swap, could the person coming over here take on the finance for the year? might be a bit messy though and if they don't pay you'd be left holding the baby as it were

I'm at work so i don't have any details with me, i just threw it out here on the off chance. I'll phone the company later or tomorrow to see where i stand. Good idea about the job swap guy using it i may look in to that! ta
