On the Apprentice, Alan Sugar asked the half jewish bloke if he knew what LOCHEIM meant (apologies for spelling and or pronounciation) so what does it mean?

'To Life' like when we say 'cheers' when having a drink. I remember this from when I was in a production of 'Fiddler on the Roof'. I'm not Jewish by the way and you may well find that a better answer crops up soon.

I just checked an online dictionary and 'lekhaim' means 'To (long) life. I think it's quite a common Yiddish expression and I think Sir Alan was asking to see just how Jewish the other bloke was

"L'Chaim" means "cheers", as in, "to life"

I only know this cos I work for an Orthodox Jewish company, I myself am not Jewish.

I didn't watch it, but if he didn't know what it meant then I guess he's not all that religious LOL!
