A tree has fallen in a forest. There is nobody around to see it fall. Does it make a noise? YES or NO, WHY?

It made a noise when it fell, whether anyone was there or not.
It doesn't make a noise now it's lying!

Or,

If a man speaks in a forest and there is no woman there to hear him, is he still wrong?

It only makes a noise if there is someone/thing there to hear it. As there is nobody around, it makes no noise.
