Firewall

Can anyone recommend a good free firewall. I did have ZoneAlarm and have always been pleased with it, but downloaded what I thought was an update, turned out to be a trial which caused a conflict with Avast Antivirus. I have now wiped ZoneAlarm off. (Using a different computer for this message). Don't want to use my computer without a firewall.

Why not download the free zone alarm again. You seemed to like it.

I would follow the above advice. Ive tested a few free firewalls recently, and always returned to ZA (which Im running with Avira now).
Comodo was too "alerty" to the point it was causing installations to fail.
Sunbelt kept causing my pc to lock up.
Ashampoo I just didnt like.

Thanks for the replies. I had thought of it myself but thought I might end up on the same roundabout. Kept getting popups saying I needed an update (free), but it ended up as some extra security suite which was on a 14 days trial, and thereafter had to be paid for; which caused confliction problems. But will give it another trial! Ta much.
