Yes they are quite light, much lighter unfolded than folded - the psychology being that when you try to pick up a small lump of metal you expect it to be lighter than a large lump of metal.

However, be warned, the ride characteristics are very different from a normal sized bike. You wobble more on small wheels and the bike is of course shorter. Practise on quiet roads. I only bought it because sodding Tramlink won't allow normal bikes on their trams, but it is nonetheless the key to green peaceful summer days along country lanes.

Whiffy ...I have been to the tip today
and dumped a folding bike ..think it was
a Raleigh ..a bit old ..I offered it to people
no takers ...sad really ..as it was rideable ...
so it will go to be recycled and come back
as a bike ...enjoy your new one ...

Im 49 but feel in my thirties -have loads of energy-I am not a mutton -just dont feel my age.I have felt ancient in the last 9 yrs of my 40's but have had a new lease f life -its ace.

O whiff -I love the Great British menu and i'm not a foodie -my fave dish last series was that pork pie that farmer guy made -he might have won it actually -it looked ace cant remember what else it had in it tho.That was a bit of a waste of a response want it lol
