can anyone tell me why an old world war 2 bomber was flying over or near to the manchester city football ground today.

The BBMF Lancaster displayed at these places today (dunno if any are near Man City, my geog is awful)

Very often if you see the Lanc flanked by two planes it is a Spitfire and a Hurricane.
