I nearly bought one at Christmas, but decided it would be one of those things that gets used once or twice then sits in a cupboard collecting dust.

Should I have bought one, do you think?

That's exactly what I thought.

Thanks for that, nono.
I didnt buy one because I knew that thats what would happen to it!!

on the plus side its always useful if you have a party!
I always wondered how much chocolate you need to add to get it to be a fountain.
chappie - noknoledge is taking the p.

My spoilt brat neice got one for her birthday. We spent a fortune on chocolate and marshmallows, etc. only for her useles mother to break the bloody thing washing it up, which is a once in a blue moon activity for her any way!

Waste of money...
actually I thought noknowledge made a good point!

Thanks for replies.

hippyhoppy, I know nono's taking the p$ss, but I like him/her - he has the same sense of humour as me! I was put off buying one - my sister bought one and fired it up at a family do and at the end of the night, chocolate was splattered all up the wall and over the table.

B*gger that, I thought to myself. Can't be doing with all that cleaning (I am a lazy mare).

Thanks again for reply.

nono, have you got a chocolate fountain?
Being a chocoholic I always wanted one but after tasting one at a wedding I am sure I never want to taste anything like it again.
I went to a wedding a few years ago where they had one and I thought it was amazing. Then my mate brought one to our work's Christmas food party thing and I saw how much oil you add to it and it made me gip, not nice :(

Adding oil put me off a bit - although sis said you never taste it.
