Exchange rates Question

I am from the US and I am traveling to Europe in two weeks. I am trying to exchange USD for Euros and as of today the exchange rate is 1.55 USD to 1 EUR. Every bank in the States that I look up is exchanging Euros for 1.63 USB to 1 Euro. Does anyone know where in the States or in London, or France, where I can exchange my money for closer to the exchange rate?

Please bear in mind that there is a difference between exchange rates that you see in the papers (for the professionals) and the ones that are used for exchanging notes, this maybe where the differece is as eight pips seems to be the normal difference in these two rates
