For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I haven't seen the Royal Variety Show yet( taped it to play a little nearer to Christmas!) but if it is the THANK YOU VERY MUCH I think it is...then it is from the film SCROOGE with Albert Finney in the title role.
It is also used in the stage play based on the film, which I believe Tommy has been starring in recently (maybe still touring the country with it).
Anthony Newley toured with SCROOGE a few years ago, before his untimely death, and I have a feeling the songs are co-written by him and Leslie Bricusse.
