Notice period
5 Answers
I have been in my job for 15 years but the last 3 I have been unhappy to the point that I got myself another job that has a starting date of the 2nd June. My problem is that under my contract of employment I have to give a months notice. What could happen if I only gave a weeks notice. I am in my late 50's and not trying to carve a career just a easier less stressfull job .

I would prefer to leave on the right terms, as I work in a school I am retained for 45 weeks of the year so I cannot use Holiday as in lieu of notice . But as the workplace is now starting to affect my health I have to take the necessary steps of moving on. I rather lose my pay than my health.
