Last year I bought a Golden Delicious Appletree which was flowering at the time. This year there are no flowers on the tree even though it looks healthy.
Prior to that , I had a damson tree in exactly the same spot but removed it as it never flowered for 4 years! The position in the garden is south west and gets lots of sun. I'm beginning to wonder whether the actual spot might be contaminated (with what I do not know!) Can anybody help?

Did you prune it last year or have you had a late frost or even very cold night since the tree began to rejuvenate itself this spring? Either action could cause your problem...
Just be patient and give it time to get fully adjusted to it`s new surroundings. Did you keep it well watered for several weeks after planting.
