Working on trades on London Underground.  You have only 3 hours overnight to carry out the work but you get paid a full 8 hours plus you get days in lieu etc.  I have had tilers on jobs (building sites) who finished off at the site, caught a few hours kip and then went off to work on the underground tiling the stations.  They looked like sh1te and were right grumpy but they had loadsamoney!

Bus driver, train driver, burglar, nurse, street
That was supposed to be street warden, DJ, care assistant, strippergram, kissogram,

You could be a chat room assistant in the small hours- checking that the kids aren't discussing drugs and the like!
Hospital orderly, TV station technician, police dispatcher, tech support, BT operator.

I was a petrol station night shift worker for a short while (helping out a mate).  I got to meet the full spectrum - lorry drivers filling up and forgetting their wallets, people fleeing from the devil, people scrounging, ahem, a magazine please,  no, doesn't matter which, anyone, hurry up please

The amusement factor does pall after a while though
