left indicator cutting out when I brake
If i apply the brakes when Indicating left, the indicater stops working, but as soon as I stop braking it starts up again. I have also noticed when driving at night that when I apply the brakes, the left indicater arrow on the dash becomes slightly illuminated! I drive a 1998 Megane Scenic, any suggestions people?
Thanks

If you are happy to do it, take the multiplug off the back of the light cluster and look for corrosion (usually green or white). Clean it up (use a bit of cloth, emery board, or even scratch it off with a penknife or small screwdriver). Don't forget to check the terminals in the socket on the light cluster. Put it back together and if it works, job done. If it doesn't, or you are not happy about doing it, do as Steve says and nip to a mechanic.
Hi i own a renault clio and had the same problem as well as revers lights when breaking headlights flickering when indicateing dash lights going on and off it was all caused by water in the electrics mine was the rear light cluster leaked and the water conects up all the seperate light circuits with one another the rear lights are the most common for this as the lights are connected via strips of metal which are easy to get wet
