lexmark x5470 printer

i'm trying to scan using a lexmark x5470 printer. the printer says the computer not connected. (aspire 5610z). checked the ports and they seem fine. what am i doing wrong..? it was fine a few days ago...!!

Hi mate, i've had this problem with quite a few of my clients machines, it's a software error, you need to uninstall everything to do with the printer and reinstall all again, it's normally a setting or glitch in some printer /scanners menus. If you do this and it still doesn't work try in another usb port, or get a new printer cable.
