Laptop DVD player HELP needed!!

My dvd player on my laptop isn't working well it'll only play 1 DVD perfectly (out of 5 that i tried) any other comes outs with square dot type things but the sound it fine
ANY HELP PLEASE!!!!

What programme are you using to play the dvd?

and are the dvds bought or recorded
how old is the lappy
have these dvds ever played OK on your machine

assuming all has been well with your laptop and these particular DVDs in the past you could try using vlc media player. It supports more media formats than most other media players and it's free to use. look here.
