My daughter is 15 and she has terrible stretch marks all over the tops of her legs and on her belly, she is a size 12 and we are trying to get fit together, it is really getting her down, can anyone advise me on how to treat this.

i suffered from these quite badly, but once i stopped growing they went silver. you can barely see them now. for ones that stayed red i would recommend Bio Oil, its fantastic, use a small amount on the stretchmarks to help them fade. its 8.95 for a small bottle in bots but you use so little its worth its weight in gold.

There is not a lot you can do with stretch marks other than wait for them to fade- which they will. I think the best thing you can do is reassure her that they are COMPLETELY normal and nothing whatsoever to do with whether you are fit or not. You get stretchmarks during sudden growth spurts- so, being 15, your daughter will have grown faster than her skin's elasticity will have allowed.

Everyone, including really skinny people get stretchmarks. Try to get your daughter to forget about them, and focus on getting fit in a fun way, and focussing on getting a positive body image.

Im 17 and my stretchmarks appeared about two years ago in the same area as your daughters, the top of my legs. I went into a frenzy....but was reassured when my friend and i discussed them and she had them too! Every girl gets them and only the unfortunate few have to live with them being red for ever. Mine have gone a 'lovely' silver colour and are hardly visible. They go just as quickly if you leave them alone as if you apply products. But one product which i can't live without is Palmers body butter, its fantastic and minimises the chance of them reappearing!

For some more info on this problem read this it has no adds as such so seems to be straight info.

Go buy coco buter. it really get rid of the stretch marks. I use it and they are almost gone. try it.
Hi ,
I have always had pretty bad stretch marks around my belly region ever since I gave birth to my three kids.I had tried Vitamin E oil and cocoa butter which a number of people had recommended but it didn't seem to work. My Doctor had even suggested a Tummy Tuck. I then recently read an article about a lady who supposedly got rid of her stretch marks using a particular cream. I tried it and it worked really well. My stretch marks disappeared in 3 weeks. You can read more about the lady's article at the link below.
