...of contacting the big cheeses at AB HQ??
They are obvioulsy not answering emails and their number dont work. Where on here can we post for them to see it? I know alot of people let it go, but I think they need to do something about people creating multiple IDs.

Probably not the people to speak to about the issue, but they may be able to help you contact the correct people.

There is no way of preventing people acquiring multiple logins. How would you handle this situation: I have username "whiffey", but would like another one. I go to the library, create a new email account, and a new AB username. There is absolutely no connection between the two to be detected and prevented. If I use the new username concurrently with "whiffey" from home, then it is detectable at the same IP address - but then who's to say it's not my boyfriend using it?
A difficult and fascinating area. Most people fortunately just do it for a bit of a giggle, and I can see nothing at all wrong with that. (One site I was on even allows you to create aliases alongside your main username, but notes that it will name and shame if you abuse them)

if you block an ip address it is the same as being in a taxi and the driver gets banned from driving and the judge banning you.family computer 4 people have access to it mum gets banned so do the rest of the family.ban the ip and anyone else at the library that wants to use the computer gets banned from contacting ab. very good idea , i think not.
spaced, they most certainly could eliminate the worst problem (but will they?), however, the rest of it is just what happens when you encourage the complete spread of humanity to communicate anonymously on a website.
What is it you object to with multiple usernames ? It is not just the plain fact of them, but how they are used that matters. For example legend has loads, but they are all identifiable as legend (legend758, i.am.legend, leyenda etc) - hopefully. What is wrong with this ?

I don't know if anyone's noticed - probably not - but if you're registering a new account you can now only use the letters A-Z, a-z, the numbers 0-9 and a hyphen. I imagine this is to stop people creating accounts impersonating other people by using punctuation as letters etc. It appears someone is listening. :-)
