Why are weeds weeds?
Why are weeds classified as weeds, as in unwanted plants?
Why don't people like things like dandelions etc in their gardens?
Why aren't they as worthy as any other garden plant?

a weed is a plant that you - or gardeners generally - think does things you don't want it to, such as crowding out other plants, having thorns, or being hard to eradicate when you don't want it. It depends where you are. Oxalis is a pretty little pot plant in Britain; where I came from it's infuriating stuff that spreads like crazy and takes forever to dig up. Can't believe you Brits like the stuff.
