Ipod FM radio Transmitter

Does anyone have a Griffin iTrip Mini or something similar? I

ts a device which allows you to transfer your ipod music to your radio and therefore listen to your music through your radio sapeakers.

Do they work and would you recommend?

Also, i was wondering, is there anything that turns your ipod into a radio - more or less the opposite to the add on i mention above i.e. can i listen to the radio through my ipod (is there any add on that allows this)?

I have a Belkin FM transmitter thing that is designed for use with iPods which allows you to tune your radio into one of 5 preset frequencies and pick up the output from your ipod/cd player. It's brilliant and one of the best 'gadgets' I have ever bought. Unfortunately I believe they are illegal in the UK as the government won't allow you to transmit (albeit with a range of about 10 feet) without a licence. The onbly problem I get with it is occasional interference from Pirate Radio Stations as the preset frequencies are around 88-89 FM. I bought mine in the states for about $30

I have an iTrip and I love it.  I used to spend car journeys flicking through the stations to find songs I liked but now I just listen to my iPod.  It's also great for parties as you don't have to keep faffing about with a load of cds.

If you wanted a legal alternative for the car, you could get an adaptor which goes into the tape player and the other end plugs into the iPod (there's one by Belkin that's specially designed but you could poss use one of the cheaper ones designed for portable CD players that'd plug into the headphone socket, I haven't actually checked it out as I don't drive...).

As for the thing allowing you to listen to the radio through your iPod, i don't know, but i've been looking for one of these so if you find one let me know!
