Reading today that doctors might be prescribing chewing gum after research found it helps patients recover faster from bowel operations. Apparantely if the patients chew for 30 mintues in the morning, afternoon and night the chewing action triggers their gastric hormones.nice! In turn the bowel was stimulated allowing the patient to resume normal eating. My Mum's front crown fell out as she was going on holiday one year so as a quick fix measure she made a makeshift tooth from a bit of chewing gum....have you ever used chewing gum for another purpose?
I'm sorry, but to see someone masticate (word of the day loo roll) kind of like a cow chewing it's cud is repulsive. I don't chew it myself and have been known to ignore people who try to hold a convo with me with moving their chops around a piece of gum - yes, im that much of bag ;-)
