E Mail attachments

I am having a problem can anyone help Photo attachments (jpg) in e mail are opening into word this is OK when it is a document but with pictures I have to save them first before I can look at them

If you are using outlook express go to the top heading "View" and from the drop down menu click on "Message in HTML" They should then open in the email .If you want to save them ,right click on the file,drag to desktop and select "copy here".That gets them to your desktop and you can then save in My Pictures or where you prefer.

I know how to save them it is just that they used to open automatically in Picture & Fax viewer

right click on a file and scroll down to "open with",from the drop down menu select the programme you want to use

You are not understanding the question I know how to 'open with' from a file but this option is not available in outlook express I double click on the paper clip and the jpg pictures with the plant pot icon opens into word which is gobbledegook They used to open into picture & fax viewer

For anyone interested a friend has Solved my problem Open MY PICTURES open tools folder then options then the file type tab scroll down find jpeg and below the list choose which program you want to open the pictures with I chose Picture viewer THIS WORKS !!!!!
