Crete Elounda Village

Can anyone tell me if they have been to Elounda Village for a holiday during the last few weeks. I have booked to go there 12th June but have just recieved a letter from Thompsons advising me that there is some renovation work going on. I have looked on a few sights like trip advisor and holidays uncovered but have found no reviews that are recent. I am wondering whether to change my holiday and look for something else.

Was there last week, what a beautiful place this is. The hotel, food and service were second to none. Dont be put off by the idea of the building work, it will not affect your holiday at all. Do visit Spinalonga, if you have read Victoria Hislops book 'The Island' you will feel that you have been transported back in time. Crete is a wonderful island and I am sure you will enjoy your stay in Elounda Village. Happy holiday!!!!

I am so pleased someone has visited the island recently, I was unsure whether to change my holiday destination but thanks to you.. myself and my husaband will have a wonderful quiet, peaceful, relaxing holiday! just what we both need! I did come across a web site that warned us off as the work there was quite extensive .... so once again... thank you, you have put my mind at rest and I can pass this on to my husband, he has been "Begging" me to find somewhere else, no need to now! I will make sure to visit Spinalonga it sound a very interesting place!
Also when I return home I shall tell you what we thought of Elounda Village. X
