the thought of no oven or microwave is a bit daunting at first i know, we're all so used to having them around, but it really isn't a problem, especially just for a few days. you could always get take-away too.
can you guess we have a caravan? i tend to freeze stuff that i make here at home and make double of, so that i always have at least the first couple of evening meals already made.
have a nice time, hope the weather is good (saturday should be the best, you could take a disposable bbq in a foil tray and use that if you're allowed by the site).

B00, I'm afraid you're mistaken. Most caravans nowadays have a 16 amp circuit breaker fitted. This means that it will comfortably power a microwave oven with no problem at all along with lights etc as needed.
In general, any appliance with a conventional 13 amp fuse fitted in the plug top will work with no problem. Just remember that you have only 3 amps (or 2160 Watts) left before the MCB in the caravan will trip out. Even then it's not the end of the world, as it can always be reset.

we have a touring caravan and we have a microwave built in, along with an almost full size electric fridge, blown air electric central heating, an electric ring on the 4 burner gas hob and a built in radio/cd player. i also take an electric kettle, a small flat screen tv and my hairdryer.
if anything blows (as has happened twice in all our years of caravanning), jaydn is quite right, just press the reset button.
our caravan is more like a luxury apartment than most non-caravanner's idea of what a caravan is like. we also have an electric flush loo, and a shower, and have many times spent 8 weeks in it in france, italy, switzerland and germany.
