Why do so many ABers expect answers on a plate without writing out the clue. I won't help any one that's so demanding and lazy.

Yesterday's copy had 44 clues
Could answer 23 immediately.
Then found 8 by internet, 4 from reference books, 8 from
other people's questions, and the last by a direst question
to answerbank.
Get most of news from TV, read paper sparingly.
But it is my choice what I read.

Yes Wop/tpo. I agree that I too can read what I please and there simply isn't time for the DT Tmes and Guardian etc. They take all week.
I also agree that we found all the answers from our books and brains. Not sure what sort of 'readership' I fit into but I do qualify for Mensa which is not helpful for General Knowledge puzzles anyway.

Hi Rex,
The website is www.mensa.org.uk.
I suggest you apply for the home test pack first. I did that and then was invited to sit 'the exam' at a centre near me.
I was in a panic for most of the hour because all the people around me slammed their pens down after each section before I'd read the question through.
I did qualify. I joined for a year but I really only wanted to know that I was intelligent and to have that piece of paper to prove it!
They take age into consideration so don't worry about that.
Good Luck.

I have said this before, but when I first used AB, I thought that the general idea was you only asked as the last resort after trying your ref books, dictionary, spellchecker and Google etc then ask if you still cant get it, I still do this but if I have been away for the weekend and want to catch up then I go back on AB and most of the answers are already there for me, but its not the same as finding it all out for yourself.
some people are just lazy bu**ers, they want the prize money but dont want to make the effort.
