Actually, there is another point.... When a fight breaks out, why does nobody do anything? Even the landlord just stands there. It's too easy to pick fault with eastenders, such as the fact that Alfie never seems to have heard of tenants rights and when they moved in to the flat behind the chippy, where did they get all the furniture from. Oh dear.
When they argue, why does everybody in the pub stop to listen? Why do they always let the other person finish their line before replying? Why don't they ever shout over each other? How does a family of five adults run a house and a mortgage on the basis of a taxi-cab firm with only one car and no properly qualified drivers? When someone leaves, why do they always leave in a taxi? And what happens to all their furniture and other possessions? When Tiffany was run over and killed, why did they all gawp at her mournfully as if they already knew that she was dead, instead of checking her pulse, shouting at each other and frantically calling for an ambulance? Why is Ian Beale so dim that he didn't even notice his own children having head-transplants? Why is Pauline Fowler such a miserable old cow even though her son is the most gorgeous man in Walford?
