I'd like to think i'd have somehow got the dog away safely.
Or am I on my own in wondering how much of an effort she really made?

That is just sick.
I know it's not quite in the same league, but this article is in our local paper today and it brough tears to my eyes. Some people don't deserve to be on this planet...

raysparx1 you are correct, the filth (I can't describe them as people, they are nearly beyond description) do need to be hit hard, and preferably with a baseball bat!!
Abuse of any living thing is sickening but these are defenseless creatures and that just makes me sick to the bone.
I realise I've been a little hypocritical but the filth that can do this to another living thing deserves to be treated as filth.

Not sure I want to read this, the comments you have ll made have me crying in anticipation. Not good.
Oh my word! :(
That is, oh, oh, it's just horrific. "Animal-loving Ms McMonagle" my left cheek, if anyone came near Jack, our Collie, I would lose it, I wouldn't be responsible for my actions. I know domestic violence forces people into corners, but couldn't she at least have called someone? I mean, FFS, would she stand by and watch her child being hung, drowned, kicked to death?
Either way she let a living thing die when she could have done something about it.
At least he did die, because if he had lived, he would have been so traumatised. And at least they are divorcing (divorced?) now.
