I am having a birthday party in January and am looking for some good party games suitable for silly 30-year olds. Pass the parcel is fine, but I need some fun ones that aren't too young (musical bumps for example) but also aren't too Club 18-30 (passing balloons with knees etc.) Anyone know any good ones?!

Johnny one-spot is hilarious after a drinkie. Burn the end of a cork and let it cool. All sit in a circle.One person starts off by giving the cork to the person next to them and saying 'hello johnny - tell Johnny'. This has to be repeated and the cork passed round the circle by each person - giggling or fluffing a line leads to a cork spot being put on the face of the offender - then they must be greeted appropriately eg 'hello johnny one spot, tell johnny three-spot' etc till everyone ends up with black spotty faces. If you have more than one drink this can happen quite quickly. It's funnier to play than it sounds written down!

Board games like Articulate, Taboo and Pictionary played in teams are fun, or those quiz games that you get on CD.

 

Also, the game where you stick a piece of paper on everyone's head with a famous name on it and they have to guess who it is by yes/no answers

OK, pay attention:

you have a plate of small things to consume (anything you like- a plate of chocolate cubes or perhaps vodka shots....)

you also have a set of clothes to put on, gloves, a hat and a scarf (the tighter the gloves the better)

and a dice...

you sit in a circle and roll the dice in turn, once someone's rolled a six they may start the rigmeroll of putting on the said clothiing items and beggining to consume the goodies on the plate meanwhile the dice still goes round the circle... until someonelse gets a six, then they tear off the clothes from their predecessor and begin to consume for themselves....

roll and pass the dice quickly and consume quickly until it's just on big blur of fun and good times...(or vommit if you put out shots :)

The game host sits on a chair with two or more players seated opposite. All wear a hat and hold a cigarette. the game host stands, sits, takes hat on and off, and cigarette in and out of mouth in various combinations - the players must imitate him. After a few goes of speeding up and slowing down, then calling 'stop' to see that everyone is in the same position as the game host, you play anohter round, but this time everyone must do the opposite to the game host. You can vary the speed an complexity of the movements to suit the age and sobriety of your players - prize for the player who survives elimination to the end.
