just over a year ago I redesigned my front garden, basicaly to reduce the labour involved with it, and make it more decorative, It is now a japanese theme sort of design, but the ground is covered with gold coloured granite chppings about three quarters of an inch in size, this has attracted the teenage yobs, who delight in reaching over the low wall, grabbing a hand full of chippings and throwing them at the window, which can frighten the crap out of you when youre not expecting it, i have tried to reason with them, iv'e chased them and threatened them, only to be told to fck off, So my idea is to smash some glass into small shards and mix it in with the gravel, is this being too extreme, ?

Sounds like a good idea to me! I'm not sure how the police would view it though.You could always claim you didn't know how the glass got there I suppose!

id suggest reasoning with them
ask them if theyve heard of buddha or any of his teachings?

I thought about the animals leg, as i have cats of my own, so i thought of putting the glass just below the surface where the louts scrape it up, the cats have never used the gravel as a loo, as there is soft freshly dug soil at the back, so there would be no risk to pets,

put a lot off dog poo on the chippings ...they wont do it again ....i had a hole in my hedge and kids kept crawling in to my garden so we put dog poo in the hole they never done it again lol
