how do you test a computer video camera used for Skype. I can test my sound and have it played back but I cannot see how to check my small video camera which is plugged into a usb port.

Thanks Ethel , I know I could do that but I thought it strange that Skype lets you test a microphone and not the camera.

It does! I've just opened the tools menu and found the webcam test.

Tools - options - video settings - learn more about setting up your webcam.

Not having a webcam I have never used the function.

Looks good to me Ethel, at my daughters just now who has no camera but will try whenI get Home. Will let you know how I do. Cheers Cauldbum.

Yes Ethel you can see what the video is on and if you want - take a still picture, the main thing is you know it's working.
