corsa management light problem

I have a corsa 1.2 199 auto 16v the problem is when driving the engin management light will come on for a couple of seconds for no reason then go off again then at other times the car will suddenly pull back and the light will come on and will only go off when excellerator is depressed and occasionally the rev counter sticks at 1200 - 1500 revs and will only move if I put foot hard on excellerator, any ideas would be grately apprieciated thank you norma

Unfortunately as there are several components in the engine management system that may be at fault, it really needs a Vauxhall dealers diagnostic facility to narrow it down. Even then, they often don`t know which of perhaps 2 components is at fault. I would expect a bill of at least �150.
