I wait for tha ansaphone to kick in to see who it is (especially now, just in case it's my t0sser ex boyfriend).
I have to get to it by six rings, or the answerphone kicks in, and usually just get to it in time.
Never answer the home phone, on;y for internet and ringing out so the only people who ring it are cold callers who ignore me being on the TPS service.

Mobile, as soon as I've heard it and seen who it is and whether I want to answer it.

Have you ever done the answer phone yourself Jayne? I've a funny feeling you may have! LOL
Might have !!! :-)
I've pretended I'm not me before now.

LOL @ JJ....I knew it! ; )
LOL jenna. Did you put on a fake voice?
As much as I could :)
Aww jenna, that's brilliant. I could never carry it off.

Mind you, you haven't said whether or not you got away with it !!!
lol Ive done that on a few occassions jenna! My brother in law is hilarious when it comes to telesales people, he even sometimes puts on fake accents and pretends he cant speak english or gets them to go through it all again when theyve finished. More often than not, they hang up on him!

I mainly use my mobile for incoming calls as the only people who have that number are people I want to talk to!

Jayne, what does your answer message say? lol
'Bucket residence, lady of the house speaking!'
oops that's how not when... lol.
I've got away with it a few times :)

Some of my clients from previous firms used to ring me up and put on a fake voice and pretend to be the client from hell to see if we'd suss them out but we could never dare not go through everything properly with them on the off chance it was a real person!
Just at the mo Psychick, it's quite dull and normal, because I work from home, and, although I've turned my spare bedroom into an office, I don't have a dedicated business line, so I get "proper" calls at home, so the ansaphone has to be sensible ...

(stops to draw breath)
When my Dad was a Magistrate I had been working on my Caribbean accent so I pretended I was working at the Air Jamaica check in desk ... it was the headmaster of Eton on the other end ... on court business oops!
