Do Celebrities get paid for giving there winnings to charity

Had a bit of a argument with a colleague about if celebrities get paid for going on these so called charity based shows like mr and mrs! i say they do get paid outwith the donation to charity, but she said that they didnt get anything, so i said whats the point of going on the show then!!!

All of their "winnings" go to charity, but they will receive their "appearance fee" through the gameshow's producers.

Hence the celebrities on the Mr&Mrs is show are of the 'cheaper' end.

Inviting someone who is a high flying starlet celebrity worthy of merit and constant news attention, of course I can only mean the (ghastly) Katona, would negate any charitable merit.
