how can i stop it trying to open up when i want winamp to show my streaming

open winamp press ctrl-p to open properties select file types under general properties highlight the file type you want winamp to open automatically and make sure you put a tick in restore file associations at start up and that should do it

If you install the latest version of winamp you will get the tray icon if you've not got it already and that will stop anything else stealing the file association from winamp.
