outlook express

Just lately my outlook express keeps timing itself out before my e-mails have been received. I can solve this problem by restoring my system to a previous restore point but its a bit of a pain doing this all the time, does anyone know why this is happening and what i can do to resolve this problem, thanks in advance.

On the Tools menu, click Accounts.
Click the Mail tab.
Click your POP3 account, and then click Properties.
Click the Advanced tab.
Gradually increase the server timeout setting, do this a little at a time.
if that doesn't work try switching your firewall of and see what happens then if you try getting your mail.
