fathers day

hi i need some help, we are taking my partner out for a meal for fathers day but need a gift idea. we have decided that because we have to buy for my partner, my dad my step dad and father in law that we will take em all out for a meal n only spend ten pound each on a small gift for them.
any ideas what to buy?

Blimey, I would have thought a meal alone would have been sufficient wouldn't it? I have to buy for the same amount as you except for step dad and spend around �10-15 on each.

It's easy for me this year as my dad is going to be on holiday so I am going to put some Euros in a card so that he can have a drink for us even though we won't see him, I'm thinking of taking father in law for a meal and I'm getting my hubby a signed book. it's an expensive month for me as my dad, hubby and father in law not only have fathers day next week, but all had their Birthdays in the past fortnight too!

i know how u feel nat, we have my nieces bday today, my best mates on wednesday, then my brothers on 18th, my other nieces on 20th n my sil on the 29th. its never ending, buy the time all the birthdays in our family are over in august its then time to start savin for christmas.

Im stuck myself ethanryan where my boyfriend is concerned. Its his first proper fathers day and I dont think I can top last years present..... a positive pregnancy test! lol

I suppose I could just hand him the baby and say "here, shes all yours for the day" lol

psychick thats a great idea, we are on holiday for fathers day so i can let him have the kids for the day while me and my mom sit in a bar. sounds great!!
what about getting him one of those hand prints, that you make of the babies hand you can write what you want in the mould like happy 1st fathers day. thats what i did for my partners 1st one

I was banned from giving birth in January. We have my eldest on the 5th, my brother on the 10th, my sister on the 14th, my nephew on the 20th, my brother and sister both on the 30th and my mum on the 31st!

My sister, whos on the 14th, did the best one, both her daughters are on the 21st July but two years apart, same day as their dad!

do you only recognise your father one day of the year? we should celebrate our mothers and fathers everyday.

yes i do zabo but why not make an extra special effort for that one day a year

psychick we have 11 birthdays in april it is a horrible month too. we have said that next year we stop buying for the adults apart from our mom and dad. i have 2 sons a step son 2 nephews and 5 nieces so its expensive enough just buying for the kids

ethanryan, Im getting that done tomorrow funnily enough lol But I didnt think about using it as a present so he knows about it. Plus it needs to be something from both the girls.

zabo, both my parents know how much I love and appreciate them, having a day like mothers day and fathers day is an extra opportunity to let them know.

did you know you can buy the ones for the older kids off e bay, you can get the frames pics, that they personalise for you with happy fathers day and the childs name on. it has space either side for a hand or foot print so you can one of each of you girls on it. they are only about 5 pound

lol I know the feeling ethanryan, Im the youngest of 7 and have 4 nephews and 4 neices plus my own 2 daughters. I stopped buying presents for my brothers and sisters when they started having kids of their own except if its a milestone birthday.

im tempted to get them all a big bottle of summat and let then drink away in the sunshine ( if it stays ) but its not really a personal gift for my partner off the kids is it?

Get them to make him something.Cheap but personal and it keeps the boys occupied for a little while :)

You shouldn't need an excuse to buy someone a gift or take them out
