Any recommendations please for a reliable insurance company for the above. My present company has DOUBLED its cost this year and I feel it is time for a change.
try the guys I work for...the good old post office!
5mins to get a quote on-line, very competitive, and 50 cashback too.
some very good deals at the moment, and of the people who ring for a quote in my branch, every other person takes it out, which is actually a pretty good percentage.
Do me a favour if you do get a quote.....stick the code 0051047 on the form, as it keeps me in a job :)
You should also try More Th>n for a quote, but be sure to go via Quidco and you can get not only a quote which includes FREE basic contents cover with your buildings cover, but also money back via Quidco (as much as 60 I believe).
I cut my costs this year from over 520 (with Direct Line) to just 270 (with slightly better cover and smaller excesses!) AND then got some more back by applying via Quidco.
it really does pay to get a few quoes, and not just renew. you'd be surprised the number of people I mention the product too that say they've always been with 'so and so'.
there's always someone looking for your business who'll give you a good price.
word from the inside is steer clear of halifax, the floods last year cripped them. Go with one underwritten by Royal&Sun Alliance (e.g. morethan) as they demand the best for their customers in the event of a claim, and will more often pay out.
