Region 1 DVDs

What do I need in order to be able to play Region 1 (USA and Canada) DVDs in the UK?

Obviously you have'nt got a multi-region DVD player?

In which case you need to unlock your DVD player (most DVDs are actually multi-region, but the manufacturers disable the function!!)

There is a web-site (which hopefully someone else knows- I've lost the link) that gives you all of the codes needed to 'unlock' your player- and its not illegal

But watch out as i have found out, i decided to purchase a multi region dvd player only to find that out of the 3 tvs in our house, none are ntsc compatible.

They only display black+white images, please check you tv's first.
