Printer cartridge
I've just bought colour and black printer cartridges, for my HP940c printer, from Cartridge World (used them before and no problems). The colour one works fine with the old black cartridge (except the black is empty), but when I put the new black one in (it's a pre-fill) the printer just sits with its orange warning light flashing at me. If I send something to print, nothing happens. If I take the new one out and put the old one back in, everything is fine again.
I've taken the cartridge back to Cartridge World and the chap tested it and said the nozzles are fine, the electrics are fine and he can find nothing wrong with it.
I can't use my printer as it is. Am I entitled to get a replacement or a refund? As I said, as far as the chap is concerned, the cartridge is OK, but my printer obviously doesn't like it. And my printer can't be at fault as it works perfectly OK with the old cartridge.
Any thoughts please? Thank you.

before you go
if the pins on the printer (or the cartridge) are dirty or slightly out of true (same for the ones on the cartridge) your printer maybe won't see it.
clean both lots of contacts with a clean cotton cloth (shirt tail is ideal!)
while the "works ok in mine" is a good indicator ... the bottom line though is if it works in yours.
tell them it's ok with another cartridge (or even go get another cartridge - I know ... sort of defeats the game)

Thanks AC. As I said, the chap tested it thoroughly yesterday and gave it a good going over so it must have been OK but, for some reason, my printer just didn't like it! Anyway, I took the cartridge back just now. Saw a different chap and explained the problem and he just handed me a new one, no questions, no receipt, nothing! I'll see how this one goes.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
