Dog behaviour

Help please, my Bichon Frise dog over the last couple of weeks has started acting strangly and being very naughty. For a start she is let out every night before we lock up so she can do her business, but the last couple of weeks she keeps doing it in the house, she also has started to chew things and jump up at everything to the point where she caught a claw and made it bleed, she also has bitten my son and my neighbours daughter. She has never done anything like this before. My friend did come down about 6 weeks ago now with a male scottish terrier dog, and was wondering if maybe she had encounter and could be pregnant, it there anyway I can tell if she is without going to the vets? She has never been round a male dog before and I had no intention of breeding but I don't understand the way she is behaving, can anyone help, please.

Was she in season when the dog visited? Were they left alone together?
Has she put on weight and are her nipples harder and pinker?
These are signs she could be pregnant, but none of the behaviour you have described is normal for a pregnant bitch.
I would suggest you get her checked by a vet because she could have something wrong with her, and she is biting and acting strange because she is either in pain or is in distress. It could be a phantom pregnancy, or even pyometra.
I cannot understand this reluctant to take a dog to a vet - although I don't take a dog without good reason, if there are any health worries I take them straight away.
