I have a Nokia N95, which is pretty good for taking pictures. As I know very little about photography, does increasing the exposure level to '1' compensate for relatively poor lighting?
the camera normally selects the best exposure based on the average of the scene.Sometimes,if there is a very bright area this will mislead the sensor and under expose.Using the + setting will compensate.Try taking two shots of the same scene and see the effect first hand.Increasing the speed setting can allow shots in poorer light, generally with a coresponding increase in noise
