saving photos

I'm using  Adobe Photoshop LE to scan & save some old photos but every time I 'save as' it starts in 'temp' so I have to go up 2 levels and then come down 2 levels to 'My Pictures' can I change this path so it always starts where I want it to?

I click SAVE and SEND from the line of options you use to restore/repair a photo (not the extreme top of the screen save) and the pop up box offers me to name it and save it wherever i want.You may be saving as a PDF file???
