I think there's room in this world for all manner of religions and beliefs - but only those which don't serve to hurt anyone else. Indoctrination can run deep within all areas of society, so it's ignorance and fear which stops people from integrating and just accepting that we aren't all the same.

The number of muslims in this country is alarming, and their influence is even more alarming.
Virtually every terrorist outrage in the world is carried out by muslims, yest we give in to more and more of their demands.
It's time to say, enough is enough and stop them building their hideous mosques here, and importing their outrageous imams.

Some imams, just as some other religious leaders, are very wise people. It's the fanatics which are the ones to watch, and these can come in all guises.

Thank goodness....the Govt is waking up to the threat upon us and the press are brave enuf to make us aware.

As for the POW I suggest he truly embrace islam and have a mosque in his grounds! He can join in their 5 times a day chant, he certainly has the time for it!

Muslim parents cant protect their children as all are submissive to the mosque for fear of extrication from their closed community.

Hardly a surprise with attitudes like the ones shown on here. Would you want to integrate with people that think you should be able to practice your religion and assume that because of your religion, you must be a terrorist?

Consider British ex-pats in Spain - how well do you think they integrate?

His point is that those who obstruct the younger generation of British muslims from integrating risk making them easy prey for extremist views.

I can't believe terambulan thinks the press are brave enough to make us aware to a large extent the press are stoking the flames of fear in this country with alarmist sensational stories and rarely balancing them with those showing the muslim community in a more normal manner.

Shall I list them all? Well let's not forget ETA, The Nepalese maosist (who now seem to be taking control of the country) , Shining path in Peru and in the non-political sphere the Animal liberation front and of course numerous christian anti-abortionist groups.

Indeed many of us grew up under the threat of IRA campains.

Of course none of this gets much attention in the papers.

If you really want to find the true enemy of freedom and democracy in this country you'd do well to look not to Middle East but rather to "Fleet Street"

To be fair the IRA were a nationalist organisation with a religious undertone, they've also given up the struggle so are no longer news worthy. When the troubles were ongoing they were in the press quite a bit, remember?
I do feel sorry for Muslims, they're caught between a rock and a hard place. If they want to try and integrate they have to discern what parts of British culture they could and should integrate with in good conscience.
Should they start binge drinking? Should they have sex promiscuously? Should they abandon their children reguarly? Should they indulge in acts of casual violence? Carry a knife? Should the women start to eat sh1te and walk around showing off their big fat bellies? Or maybe they should be more discreet and just show their knickers or the crack of their ar5e to all and sundry?
We need to create in this country a sociable structure that does'nt involve drink for people to enjoy themselves, meet each other and cop off. Until we have that this problem will persist for all decent people regardless of creed.
As you can probably tell, I've fallen completely out of love with my country at the moment, it's upsetting me (slightly) as it's only recently happened.

How does one integrate with muslims or learn about them except thru the papers. Infidels 'they're expressions' are not welcome in their mosques. Though my church is open to them, (heathens) my expression! Islamists refuse to take responsibility for their radicals but instead try to deflect the accusations by wingeing about themselves being marginalised. If you greet another and they just sneer back then you dont trouble further! How dare they talk of our moral values when they demand submission of their females. We've been there and know the horrors of it! They have pimps, addicts, prostitution etc as we do. Our lives are invaded by CCTV but their females are permitted evasion by the veil. The islamist men are so insecure they insist their women cover themselves lest an 'infidels' eyes desire them.......as if!

I think what Everton said makes a lot of sense. I have said once when few people were talking about how Muslims may destroy their (British) culture. What do you really are in fear of loosing. If you call binge drinking, teenage pregnancy, one night stands, DNA tests to finds out who is father, Women wearing which reveals more than they conceal. Then I do not think that is British culture. However if it is and I am mistaken then may be I am wrong.

The muslim community have been in the country since the 1950s. The originals lived and worked alongside UK natives respectfully and fairly. Few mosques existed then and muslims worshipped together in their homes or community centres. Martyrs were alien then...what happened to change the situation? Who has corrupted the muslims against others? Only a muslim can answer that question.....and don't tell me its Allah as he died too long ago for todays people to be fighting an ancient war.

In terms of modern "Islamic" terrorism talking to them is'nt going to work, the I.R.A had an agenda Al Qaeda don't. All they want is the westerners to leave Islamic lands and to impose a narrow Sunni Muslim ideology on the populus. It's unworkable for west, and untenable for the east.
Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.
