blank window on my pc ,it won;t close

does any one know how i can close a blank window? sometimes when i click on a site ,the window only opens a blank window at the bottom of my pc ,and it won't close when i click close on it?,theonly way i know how to close it is to close my pc then re start it which takes time ,so any know how to close a blank window????????

I get this problem too � it�s caused by Windows XP I think, because it never happened when I was using ME.

I can often fix it by clicking on the �Home� icon. It�ll usually go back to Google and then I can close the Explorer window. Failing that ... a restart.

Just press Ctrl + Alt + Del to open task manager, use it to close the offending window. Then i suggest you do a spyware check.
